All cables are in accordance with BS 302, DIN 3055/3060. Safe working load (SWL) is given as a static rating.
Galvanised Wire Rope
Available in black or silver finish, these flexible design galvanised wire ropes are available in cut lengths in multiples of 1m. A full reel measures 100m in length. Construction to BS302, DIN3060.
Thimbles, see DOUGHTY RIGGING HARDWARE, and cable grips are generally used to aid longevity and fastening of wire rope.
Cable Grips
Plated steel, for use with galvanised wire rope to form loops. Options available to fit 3mm, 4-5mm, 6-7mm, 8mm, and 9-10mm diameter wire rope.
Safety Bonds
Manufactured from flexible galvanised wire rope, these Doughty safety bonds are available in differing lengths, safety weight load capacities, cable diameter, and end type. These safety bonds could also be used for retaining accessories such as small loudspeakers, gel-frames and barn-doors, where the weight of the accessory is minute compared to the SWL of the bond.
TV Specification Bonds
TV specification bonds are proof-loaded and stamped. “Loop” types are manufactured to BBC TV 168A specification. They consist of a large soft loop, and two thimble ends, one with captive Karabiner. “Straight” types are 700mm long, with two thimble ends, one with captive Karabiner.
