Muxlab digital audio converters are intended for AV system integration. They provide for digital signal conversion between S/PDIF and Toslink standards and from digital formats to two-channel, analogue, audio output - useful system 'glue', which can be deployed in order to overcome system incompatibility issues between digital signal sources and analogue audio destinations such as AV receivers, amplifiers and active loudspeaker systems.
500080 LPCM
This converts one LPCM-encoded digital, coax, S/PDif, or digital optical, Toslink audio signal to a left/right analogue audio output using RCA (phono) connectors. This allows a digital audio source, such as a games console or CD player, without an analogue output to be connected to an amplifier or TV. Inputs: 1x RCA (phono) for S/PDif, 1x Toslink. A versatile digital audio standards converter, the 500087 allows one digital, coaxial, S/PDif, or digital, optical, Toslink source, to be connected to a digital audio receiver supporting either digital, coaxial, S/PDIF or digital, optical, Toslink inputs. The converter supports most standards, to transmit two channels of uncompressed, lossless, PCM audio or compressed, 5.1/7.1, surround sound, such as Dolby Digital Plus or DTS-HD High Resolution Audio (multichannel digital audio Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS, and Dolby True HD).
