LYNX YELLOBRIK FIBRE OPTIC SFP MODULES

A range of fibre optic SFP modules which may be fitted to Yellobriks equipped with an SFP cage. They provide single mode or multimode fibre extension for SDI, AES and analogue audio signals, depending on the Yellobrik module.

As the optical channel separation is quite small (20nm), CWDM transmitters and transceivers are specifically designed with a narrow spectral response (transmission peaks) to avoid cross channel interference. Although some non-CWDM SFPs may appear to offer the same wavelengths (1310nm and 1550nm are frequently used for simple two-channel, bi-directional systems), it is vital that CWDM compatible transmitters are used throughout multi-channel CWDM systems. Non-CWDM types have a much less tightly-controlled spectral peak, which is likely to cause adjacent channel interference.

Lynx Yellobrik SFP fibre optic CWDM transmitter and transceiver modules may also be used to replace the non-CWDM modules originally supplied in many Yellobriks to extend the original 10km transmission range, or to add a multiplex capability as systems evolve. These SFP modules must be ordered in addition to the Yellowbrik module where they are shown as optional accessories. Dedicated Yellowbrik fibre transmitters, receivers and transceivers are supplied complete with the appropriate SFP module.

Note that there are several, incompatible, SFP pin connection protocols and quality and reliability varies enormously between SFP manufacturers. It is therefore recommended that only Lynx Technik SFPs are used with Yellobrik modules.

OH-TX-1 SDI optical transmitter is an integrated part or plug in option for select LYNX Technik yellobrik and Series 5000 products. This SFP module facilitates the conversion of an electrical SDI signal into an optical signal for transmission over fibre. Wavelength is a fixed 1310nm and suitable for distances up to 10km. The module accommodates 270Mbit/1.485Gbit and 2.97Gbit SDI signals conforming to SMPTE 424M, 292M, 259M and DVB-ASI.

OH-TX-12G-ST single channel optical transmitter is an integrated plug in option for selected LYNX Technik products. This SFP module facilitates the conversion of SDI electrical signals at ST-2082-1 (12G), ST-2081-1 (6G), ST-424 (3G) and ST-292 (HD) to optical signal.

OH-TX-12G-LC SDI optical transmitter is an integrated part or plug in option for select LYNX Technik products. This SFP module facilitates the conversion of an electrical SDI signal into an optical signal for transmission over fibre. Wavelength is a fixed 1310nm and suitable for distances up to 10km. The module accommodates 12G, 6G, 3G and 1.5G SDI signals conforming to SMPTE 2082, 424M, 292M.

RECEIVERS (RX)


OH-RX-1-LC - Singlemode, 1260 - 1620nm Wavelengths, LC connector.

OH-RX-1 SDI optical receiver is an integrated part or plug in option for select LYNX Technik yellobrik and Series 5000 products. This module facilitates the conversion of the SDI optical signal into an electrical signal for further processing within these products. Support is provided for all wavelengths between 1260 and 1620nm according to ITU-T G694.2 (18 wavelengths). The module accommodates 270Mbit/1.485G and 2.97G SDI signals conforming to SMPTE 424M, 292M, 259M and DVB-ASI.


OH-RX-1-Y-SC - Singlemode, 1260 - 1620nm Wavelengths, SC connector.

Suitable for Yellobrik only, OH-RX-1-Y-SC has the same feature set as OH-RX-1-LC however it has an SC connection.


OH-RX-1-Y-ST - Singlemode, 1260 - 1620nm Wavelengths, ST connector..

OH-RX-12 SDI optical receiver is an integrated plug in option for select LYNX Technik products. This SFP module facilitates the conversion of a optical fibre SDI signal into an electrical SDI signal. Wavelength capture rage is between 1260nm and 1620nm. The module accommodates 12G, 6G, 3G and 1.5G SDI signals conforming to SMPTE 2082, 424M, 292M.

OH-TR-0-850-MM - Multimode, 300m, Dual fibre, TX wavelength 850nm, LC connector.

OH-TR-0-850-MM SDI optical transceiver is an integrated part or plug in option for select LYNX Technik yellobrik and Series 5000 products. This SFP module includes a receiver and a transmitter which facilitates the conversion of an electrical SDI signal into an optical signal for transmission over fibre, and also receives an optical SDI signal and converts to an electrical signal for further processing. Wavelength is a fixed 850nm and suitable for distances up to 1000m. The module accommodates 270Mbit/1.485G and 2.97G SDI signals conforming to SMPTE 424M, 292M, 259M and DVB-ASI.


OH-TR-12G-LC - Singlemode, 10km, TX wavelength 1310nm, LC connector.

OH-TR-12G-LC SDI optical transceiver is a plug in option for select LYNX Technik yellobrik products. This SFP module includes a receiver and a transmitter which facilitates the conversion of an electrical SDI signal into an optical signal for transmission over fibre, and also receives an optical SDI signal and converts to an electrical signal for further processing. Transmission wavelength is a fixed 1310nm and suitable for distances up to 10km using singlemode fibre. The receiver will capture any wavelength between 1260-1620nm. The module supports 12Gbit, 6Gbit, 3Gbit and 1.5Gbit SDI signals conforming to SMPTE 2082M, SMPTE 424M and SMPTE 292M.


OH-BD-1-1310-Y - Singlemode, 10km, Bi-directional, TX wavelength 1310nm, LC connector.
