These headsets are intended for on-air news and sports broadcasting applications where intelligible voice reproduction and ruggedness is required.
BPHS1
These closed-back, circumaural stereo headphones have a 560 ohm, cardioid, dynamic microphone on a 180.1mm flexible gooseneck, that can be positioned to the left or right sides. The dynamic microphone capsule has a frequency range of 40Hz to 20kHz and is designed to pick up vocal sounds whilst reducing the pickup of unwanted background noise.
Each earpiece of the 65 ohms headphone set has a 40mm neodymium driver with a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz. The headset has padded, closed-back ear cups and an adjustable headband for best positioning and comfort.
A 3.3 m detachable cable (included) terminates with one balanced 3-pin male XLR for the microphone output and one 6.35mm, stereo jack for the headphone connection. An eight-pin connector terminates the other end of the cable and connects into the socket of the headset. Weight: 264g
Included accessories: 3x windscreens, 1x spare connector screw.
This headset has been designed for the same applications as the BPHS1 but has an on-ear design and the same 45mm, 38 ohm drivers as the ATH-M60X headphones. The low-profile, closed-back earpieces have memory-foam pads to provide more comfort for longer periods of use. Both ear pads and headband are detachable and replaceable.
A dynamic microphone is positioned on the end of a flexible gooseneck, which in turn is affixed to a solid boom arm. This arm can be rotated so the microphone can be positioned to the left or the right of the user's mouth. A hyper cardioid, directional pickup pattern ensures the focus is on the broadcaster's voice.
The BPHS2 headset includes a BPCB2 straight cable, 3.3m in length, terminated with TA6F connector at the headset end, and with a male 3-pin XLR for the microphone and 6.3mm jack connector for the headphones at the other end.
BPHS2-UT includes a BPCB3 un terminated cable.
