RDL SourceFlex Audio System is an integrated set of products used to configure cost-effective, expandable audio monitoring in facility types that include sports bars, restaurants, fitness centres, and offices.
SourceFlex gives users the option to select from up to eight audio sources, and subsequently adjust volume. All source switching features are electronic.
Each system requires rack-mounted SAS-8i SourceFlex input hardware along with SAS-8C audio control hardware and SourceFlex listening stations such as D-SFRC8 or D-SFRC8L. Each listening station provides source selection and volume control at the user’s location. The system is wired to avoid the problems associated with recharging and signal interference in wireless distribution. RDL describe their SourceFlex system as 'simple to install' and one that 'provides years of reliable service with expandability'.
SAS-8c 8-Station audio contoller
SAS-8C is a 1U, 19-inch rackmount SourceFlex series controller designed for connectivity to up to eight D-SFRC8 or D-SFRC8L listening stations via 6-conductor wire cable. Input is by way of 24-pin ribbon cable header linked and driven from SAS-8i input chassis. Loop output, to drive additional SAS-8c is by way of 24-pin ribbon cable header. 6-position, detachable terminal blocks allow connection to remote listening stations, and trimpots allow 40dB adjustable output gain. SAS-8i 8-Input chassis
This input chassis is part of RDL's SourceFlex range and can be connected to up to eight balanced or unbalanced sources via detachable terminal block. SAS-8i supports SAS-8C SourceFlex controller and can can also control up to four SourceFlex series listening stations. Separate paging input and closure contacts are provided for audio interruption. SAS-HC8 Headphone amplifier
A headphone amplifier with source selection designed to be used on or near exercise equipment or on a desktop as a source controlled output device. Both 6.35mm and 3.5mm headphone jack sockets are provided, and associated volume up and down touch keys are positioned next to touch source selection button with associated 7-segment LED display. The front panel and buttons are manufactured from moisture-resistant polycarbonate, which is also replaceable. To prevent a high burst of audio when a new user's headphones are connected, SAS-HC8 automatically reduces the output volume when any connected headphones are left unplugged. D-SFRC8 SourceFlex series, 8-sources with amplifier
Available in white (D-SFRC8), black (DB-SFRC8), and stainless steel (DS-SFRC8) finishes, this Decora style module is part of the RDL SourceFlex series and allows the user to remotely switch and control the level of up to eight channels of incoming audio, and deliver an amplified output of 3.5W into an 8ohm speaker. A numerical, 7-segment LED display illuminates to show the selected channel. I/O connectivity is via terminal connections. A switch located on the rear facing panel allows the engineer to fix the balanced line-level output at +4dBu, or select variable output - adjusted by the rotary controller located on the front panel.
