Scarlett Solo is a desktop audio interface that has been designed to make recording 'easier than ever'. The low-noise microphone preamp, A/D and D/A converters, and a dynamic range of 120dB give a quality that is often found in professional studios.
The audio interface features a single microphone input with switchable phantom power, and a single line level input, with the latter being switchable from line level to Hi-Z. Each of the inputs has a dedicated rotary gain controller with surrounding multicolour ring light, also known as Scarlett's Dynamic Gain Halo, to signify input level. Presence can be added globally to the input channels via an 'Air' button. Output is by way of dual, balanced 6.35mm jack connectors, and a 6.35mm stereo headphone jack output has dedicated level control. Computer connection is via USB-C. A large output volume controller allows adjustment of outputs L and R. A push switch labelled 'Direct' allows the user to toggle direct monitoring on/off. Power is by way of USB bus power.
