These microphone heads, for use with goosenecks, offer cardioid close-talking, omni directional and noise-canceling characteristics, depending on model. One model (515SBG-18X) is supplied ready fitted to a gooseneck.
Suitable goosenecks include G12, G18, G6A, G18A, G12-CN and G18-CN, which can be mounted on A12 or A13HD mounting flanges. See Shure microphone mounts.

Developed for voice-recognition applications, the 503BG microphone offers 'excellent voice fidelity while reducing background noise' and is also of use in other close-talking applications such as paging and talk back. It has a low-impedance, cardioid, dynamic transducer with an integral hum bucking coil and an attached 1.2 metre, two-conductor, shielded, cable with a built-in strain relief. It produces a frequency response with an essentially constant output voltage over the voice spectrum when used close to the sound source (10 to 50mm). The case is aluminum with a black enamel finish. It mounts to a gooseneck, a fixed pipe or a microphone stand using a standard 5/8"-27 thread.
561

With an omni directional, low-impedance dynamic microphone designed for use on a stand or flexible gooseneck, the smooth frequency response of the 561 is tailored for 'optimum speech intelligibility', making it 'ideal for language labs, paging applications, and base station communications'. It is 'also suitable for use as a talk-back or cuing microphone in TV, film, and recording studios'. Constructed using die-cast aluminum with a lockable stainless steel mesh grille, it has a shock-mounted cartridge for reduced stand and handling noise. It is 'suitable for mounting on stand or gooseneck with 5/8"-27 thread', and has a 1.2 metre, two-conductor, shielded, unterminated cable.

This is a low-impedance, noise-canceling, dynamic, microphone designed for voice applications in 'fixed-station paging and radio communications'. It provides 'highly intelligible speech communication where high volume background noise is present'. The 562 has a 'smooth response' and is 'ruggedly constructed to withstand a wide range of humidities and temperatures'. The frequency response and noise-canceling characteristics make it 'ideal for language labs, paging applications in noisy environments and base station communications'. It is also 'recommended as a talk back or cuing microphone in TV, film, and recording studios'. It is threaded to attach directly to 'boom or a gooseneck', with the cable concealed inside. It has a 1.2 metre, two-conductor, shielded, unterminated cable.

A dynamic, low-impedance, cardioid microphone which 'provides excellent voice reproduction with effective rejection of feedback and background noise' the 515BSLX is 'especially suitable for use in communications, paging, and back systems'.It has a slide-switch 'controlling the microphone audio and a relay circuit', permitting hands-free operation. It has a 1.8m, four-core, (two cores shielded), cable, and is is wired with the microphone circuit normally-open for use in 'parallel-wired microphone installations'.

This low-impedance dynamic microphone is designed to be mounted on 'flexible goosenecks or fixed pipes'. Apparently 'optimised frequency response and a unidirectional (cardioid) pick-up pattern makes them ideal for language labs, paging applications, and base-station communications'. More, 'they are also recommended for use as talkback or cueing microphones in TV, film, and recording studios'. They have a push-to-talk button and a four-conductor cable (two conductors shielded).
