Control 1 Pro

JBL Control 1 Pro is a high performance miniature monitor loudspeaker available in black or white finish. Incorporating a 135mm low frequency radiator and high performance dividing network, the Control 1 Pro provides full-range, low distortion reproduction in a variety of applications. Compact and durable, the Control 1 Pro performs equally well in recording studios, mobile audio video control rooms and broadcast studios. It is also highly suitable for foreground and background music use in restaurants, discotheques, and audio-visual applications. HF and LF transducers are magnetically shielded, permitting the Control 1 Pro to be safely used in close proximity to video monitors. Well balanced sound and exceptional power handling make the Control 1 Pro ideal for any installation requiring professional monitor performance from a compact source. Supplied complete with adjustable wall-mount bracket.

Control 1 Pro mounting versatility is enhanced by a line of installation accessories. The supplied “ball and socket” bracket is a simple, adjustable, metal wall bracket. The Canford loudspeaker L-bracket is suitable for use with the Control 1 Pro and has both a wall and mic stand (3/8-inch thread) fixings.

Control 5

The Control 5, like the Control 1 Pro, is a two-way system housed in a moulded enclosure. The Control 5’s elements are a 165mm low frequency loudspeaker and a 25mm titanium dome tweeter – the same tweeter found in many studio monitors. Usable frequency response of the Control 5 is from 50Hz to beyond 20kHz. The system’s relatively high sensitivity combines with a power handling capacity of 175 watts to offer outstanding dynamic range. Both transducers are magnetically shielded so that the system may be used in proximity to television receivers or video monitors without affecting the picture in any manner. The vented enclosure, moulded from dense polypropylene structural foam, is both non-resonant and very durable. Its unique shape adds to the system’s versatility. The mesh grille is removable, and the logo on the grille is spring-loaded so that it can be rotated to read properly whether the speaker is mounted vertically or horizontally. A rubber collar around the front of the enclosure protects both the loudspeaker and the adjacent surfaces from scratches. Threaded metal inserts are provided on the back of the Control 5 for secure attachment to third party mounting devices.
