The Evolution Series presents a complete range of microphones for almost all performance requirements. The range delivers the highest standards of performance and construction at affordable prices.
Unless stated, all have low output impedance, 3-pole XLR connector, and are supplied with microphone stand clamp and pouch.
e602-II - Dynamic, cardioid, bass instrument
A dedicated bass microphone, the e602 combines a lightweight high-performance voice coil with a traditional large diaphragm capsule design to deliver very low bass response and fast transient signals. Low frequency extension and mid-band attenuation produces an ultra-smooth pre-shaped signal; the microphone may be used without corrective equalisation. There is an integrated stand-mounting adapter, so no stand clamp is included.
Applications: Bass drums, bass guitar cabinets, tubas and other low frequency instruments. Frequency response: 20-16000Hz. Sensitivity: 0.25mV/Pa, 1kHz; 0.9mV/Pa, 60Hz. Dimensions: 153 x 60mm (length x maximum diameter). Weight: 318g.
e604 - Dynamic, cardioid, drums and brass instruments
This space-saving microphone is good for low visibility, close-microphone techniques. With low sensitivity to impact and handling-noise, it has 'very high sound pressure handling capability', is 'easy to position due to compact design' and has an integral stand mounting adapter. It is supplied complete with drum clip, but no separate stand adapter.
Applications: Drums and brass instruments. Frequency response: 40-18000Hz. Sensitivity: 1.8mV/Pa, 1kHz. Dimensions: 59 x 33mm (length x maximum diameter). Weight: 60g.
e608 - Dynamic, super-cardioid, wind instruments
A miniature design with integral gooseneck the e608 is designed for almost invisible pick up of woodwind, except certain flutes, brass and drums. The clamp and gooseneck mounting helps the capsule to be positioned close to the signal source for 'high realism, high level output'. Extensive damping and shock mounting isolate the capsule and signal from extraneous vibration, noise and impact. It has an integral connection cable with XLR connector. It is supplied with an instrument clip, but not a stand adapter.
Applications: Woodwind (except certain flutes), brass and drums. Frequency response: 40-16000Hz. Sensitivity: 0.8mV/Pa. Dimensions: 185 x 17mm (length x maximum diameter). Weight: 20g.
e609 Silver - Dynamic, super-cardioid, guitar cabinets
With a super-cardioid pickup pattern, the e609 Silver microphone is designed for positioning close to guitar cabinets and toms in a studio or live performance, with increased isolation from other audio sources. A hum compensation coil reduces any induced noise from local electromagnetic interference.
Applications: Guitar amplifiers and toms. Frequency response: 40-15000Hz. Sensitivity: 1.5mV/Pa, 1kHz. Dimensions: 134 x 34 x 55mm (length x width x height). Weight: 140g.
e614 - Condenser, super-cardioid, instruments
A permanently-polarised condenser design, the e614 was designed for demanding applications which require a wide frequency response, high SPL, fast transient response and a compact design. It is able to capture 'the full sound of the instrument, while its super-cardioid pick-up pattern isolates the microphone from other on-stage signals'.
Applications: Percussion, woodwind and string instruments, home recording. Frequency response: 40-20000Hz. Sensitivity: 3mV/Pa, 1kHz. Power: 12-52V DC phantom power required. Dimensions: 100 x 20mm (length x maximum diameter). Weight: 93g.
e902 - Dynamic, cardioid, bass instrument
A cardioid microphone designed for use where the lower frequencies are required, such as bass drums, floor toms, or bass guitars. The internally shock-mounted dynamic capsule has a hum compensating-coil to reduce the amount of noise ingress from local electromagnetic interferences. There is an integrated stand-mounting adapter, so no stand clamp is included.
Applications: Bass drums, bass guitar cabinets and other low frequency instruments. Frequency response: 20-16000Hz. Sensitivity: 0.2mV/Pa, 1kHz; 0.6mV/Pa, 60Hz. Dimensions: 128.5 x 60mm (length x maximum diameter). Weight: 440g.
e904 - Dynamic, cardioid, drums and percussion instruments
The e904 is a cardioid instrument microphone designed for drum and percussion applications. A 'very fast' attack ensures the capture of the percussive sound and a smooth frequency response enhances the nuances of the instrument. The microphone body is manufactured from metal and can be close positioned due to the compact design and integral stand mounting adapter. It is supplied complete with drum clip, but no separate stand adapter.
Applications: Drums and percussion instruments. Frequency response: 40-18000Hz. Sensitivity: 2mV/Pa, 1kHz. Dimensions: 63 x 41mm (length x maximum diameter). Weight: 125g.
e906 - Dynamic, super-cardioid, guitar amplifiers and brass
This super-cardioid microphone designed for placing close to guitar cabinets in a studio or live performance environment. A three-position presence filter sets the sound pickup characteristics of the microphone to bright, moderate, or dark.
Applications: Guitar amplifiers and brass instruments. Frequency response: 40-18000Hz. Sensitivity: 2.2mV/Pa, 1kHz. Dimensions: 134 x 34 x 55mm (length x width x height). Weight: 140g.
e908D - Condenser, cardioid, drums and percussion instruments
abgekündigt
This condenser microphone has an integrated gooseneck and multifunctional MZH 908D drum clamp. The clamp and gooseneck mounting aid positioning the capsule close to the signal source; damping and shock-mounting isolate the capsule and signal from extraneous vibration and noise. This microphone includes the MZH 908D drum clamp, but no separate stand adapter. A MZA 900P in-line phantom power adapter with 3-pin XLR connection is also included with the e908D. Phantom power 10 - 52 V is required.
Applications: Drums and percussion. Frequency response: 40-20000Hz. Sensitivity: 4mV/Pa. Dimensions: 193 x 47mm (length x maximum diameter). Weight: 311g.
e908B - Condenser, cardioid, percussion and wind instruments
This microphone has the same audio properties as the e908D however with the crocodile style mounting clamp it is typically used for wind instruments and percussion. A MZA 900P in-line phantom power adapter with 3-pin XLR connection is also included with the e908D. Phantom power 10 - 52 V is required.
Variants with locking 3.5mm jack - compatible with Evolution wireless system transmitters.
e908 B EW: 4mV/Pa sensitivity, 30dB A equivalent noise. This is designed for use with saxophones.
e908 T EW: 0.56mV/Pa sensitivity, 39 dB A 30dB A equivalent noise. Recommended for 'trumpets, trombones and flugelhorns' due to the lower sensitivity.
e914 - Condenser, cardioid, grand piano and orchestral instruments
This pre-polarised condenser has been designed to work with cymbals, acoustic guitars, grand pianos, and orchestral overheads. Due to the switch which selects one of three fixed sensitivities (0/-10/-20dB) the microphone can be moved from one instrument to another without overloading. The e914 also has a three-position linear bass roll-off/cut-off switch.
Applications: Grand piano, orchestral instruments, drum overheads, acoustic guitar. Frequency response: 20-20000Hz. Sensitivity: 7mV/Pa, 1kHz. Power: 48V/2.2mA phantom power required. Dimensions: 157 x 24mm (length x maximum diameter). Weight: 198g.
