Mackie HR mk2 active studio reference monitors provide an accurate linear frequency response with optimised waveguide. A 'wide and even sweet zone', along with THX pm3 certification makes them suitable for a wide variety of applications. Two versions are offered, manufactured from 19mm MDF and attractively finished in high-gloss, piano black.
The HR624 MK2 with 170mm/6.7-inch LF transducer and twin amplifier provides 100W LF/40W HF; the more powerful and larger HR824 MK2 has a 222mm/8.75-inch LF driver and 150W LF/100W HF amp.
Both models are otherwise similar and have a 1-inch, titanium-dome, ferrofluid cooled, tweeter. The LF transducer in the HR Series is coupled to a composite honeycomb, mass-loaded, elliptical, passive driver which 'fires' out of the rear enclosure. This passive radiator produces most of the ultra-low frequency output. Mackie's cast-aluminium 'Zero Edge Baffle' minimises diffraction; internal damping reduces midrange artefacts.
Signal input is via balanced XLR, unbalanced 6.35mm jack or RCA (phono) sockets located in a recessed connection panel.
Ordering note:
The monitors are sold singly.
