This selection from the Audio-Technica range offers designs with cardioid or omnidirectional pick-up patterns, from headband-mounted dynamic models aimed at musicians to vestigial condenser Micro-earsets suitable for theatrical use.

All models have low-impedance outputs and XLR connectors. Condenser types are either phantom powered only, or offer the facility to use battery power as an alternative.


PRO8HEx, PRO8HEcW - Hypercardioid, dynamic

Offering 'highly intelligible individual voice reproduction', the comfortable, and lightweight headset is aimed at guitarists, keyboard players, drummers and others who need the use of their hands during performance. Its low-visibility headband and cushioned support pads provide a stable, comfortable fit. Designed for professional quality vocal pick-up with hands-free operation, it has a pivot-mounted flexible microphone boom that descends from either the left or right side. This supports a low-impedance, dynamic, hypercardioid capsule with neodymium magnet. A 2.2 metre cable is permanently attached to termination. Frequency response: 200Hz-18kHz, sensitivity 1.7mV/Pa. Weight: 60g.

Pro9CW is a head worn condenser microphone that can be used with Audio-Technica wireless systems. It has been designed for presenters and musicians who need hands free operation during their performance. The adjustable head band and microphone boom ensures optimal microphone positioning for accurate sound capture. The microphone is also suitable for group fitness instructors due to its lightweight, portable and sweat resistant nature. An integrated shock mount eliminates unwanted noise and vibrations and the included windscreens minimises the P-pop general wind noise. Frequency response: 100Hz-18kHz. Weight: 54g.

The microphone’s cardioid polar pattern provides a 120-degree angle of acceptance. The microphone includes a 1.4m permanently attached miniature cable. ATM75cW includes a 1.4m permanently attached miniature cable terminated with a locking 4-pin connector for use with Audio-Technica UniPak body-pack transmitters.
