LYNX YELLOBRIK OPTICAL SPLITTERS

The yellobrik range by LYNX Technik includes passive optical splitters and switches that offer a cost-effective method of distributing fibre optic signals.


OSW 1022 - 2x2 Optical Switch

OSW 1022 is an optical 2x2 switch that provides connection paths between two pairs of fibre optic. OSW 1022 switch is suitable for a wide range of applications such as fibre line emergency switchover, route diversity, optical networking system protection, and reconfiguration. It allows the selection of passive optical paths via GPI control, or local dip switches, or PC/Mac. The GPIs and GPOs provide selection and monitoring of connection paths State 1 and State 2. It also provides latching and non-latching mode. In the latching mode, the optical switch maintains the current optical connection path (state) and does not change on power failure. In the non-latching mode, the optical switch switches to State 1 connection path upon power failure. When the power is restored, the switch will revert to the connection path set by the dip switch or to the state set by the GUI.

OSP 1812, OSP 1812-M, OSP 1814 - 1:X Optical Splitters

There are three models which split the power output in the optical range, 1260nm to 1650nm, in different ratios.

OSP 1812 A 1:2 optical splitter with one input (100%) and two outputs (each 50%)
OSP 1812-M A 1:2 optical splitter with one input (100%) and two outputs, one at 90% power and the other at 10% power. This is typically used for monitoring applications.
OSP 1814 A 1:4 optical splitter with one input (100%) and four outputs (each 25%)

The modules can be used standalone or mounted in the optional RFR 1018 0.5U rack frame, which can accommodate up to four OSP series modules, providing a secure mounting platform in any standard 19 inch rack.

OSP series optical splitters are entirely passive devices, requiring no power supply and generating no heat.
