AUDIO-TECHNICA WIRELESS SYSTEMS - System 10 - 2.4GHz, digital

Two systems are offered, the ATW-1102 handheld vocal system and ATW-1101 UniPak body-pack system, supplied without microphone. Each configuration includes the ATW-R1100 2.4GHz fixed diversity receiver and a single 10mW portable transmitter (ATW-T1001 body-pack or ATW-T1002 handheld). A maximum of four separate systems (channels) can be operated in one location without any frequency coordination or group selection issues (Note: although individual components can be purchased separately, it is not possible to use multiple transmitters simultaneously with a single receiver).

An automatic frequency selection function ensures intuitive set-up, interference-free and reliable performance. Both receiver and transmitter units incorporate an 'easy-to-read' numerical System ID display and 'Pair' button. Set-up takes seconds, the desired 'System ID' number is selected at the receiver and the 'Pair' button is pressed. Pressing the 'Pair' button at the corresponding transmitter initiates the automatic frequency selection and pairs the devices.

The system offers three levels of diversity assurance, frequency, time, and space. Frequency diversity sends the signal on two dynamically allocated frequencies and constantly monitors them. If required the system will automatically switch frequency to maintain reliable communication. Time diversity sends the signal in multiple time slots to maximise immunity to multipath interference. Finally, space diversity uses two antennas on each transmitter and receiver to maximise duplex signal integrity.

System performance:

Operating frequency: 2.4 GHz ISM band. Noise: Better than -109dB, A weighted. Distortion: Less than 0.05% THD. Operating time: 7 hours. Operating temperature: 0 to 40 degrees C. Operating range: 30m typical.

ATW-R1100 2.4GHz Receiver - Fixed

Present in all systems, the ATW-R1100 is a digital 24-bit, 48 kHz diversity receiver, with two permanently attached adjustable antennas. A display on the front panel confirms the numerical 'System ID' which aids multi-system set-up. Coloured status LEDs signal 'AF Peak' (red) when audio distortion is present at maximum modulation (Note: this is unaffected by position of volume control), and 'Pair' Indication (green) to confirm the presence of a paired transmitter. A rotary control provides level (volume) control of both unbalanced 6.35mm and balanced 3-pin, male XLR. For optimum performance it is advisable to position the receiver away from metal racking. The casing is moulded to allow stacking of up to four systems.

Audio frequency response: 20-20kHz. Audio output level: 0dBV, balanced, 3-pin, XLR, +6 dBV, unbalanced 6.35mm jack. Power source: 12V DC 5A (centre positive) via external power supply, 100-240V AC 50/60 Hz. Dimensions: 190 x 46.2 x 128.5mm. Weight: 290g.

Included accessories: AC power adapter.
Optional accessories: AT8674 rack mounting kit, AT8675 blanking plate.

ATW-T1002 2.4GHz Transmitter - Handheld

Supplied within the ATW-1102 handheld system, the ATW-T1002 2.4 GHz handheld transmitter is fitted with a unidirectional dynamic microphone capsule. Similarly to the ATW-R1100 fixed receiver, a 7-segment display identifies the numerical System ID. A soft-touch switch in the base of the transmitter controls powering and mute. Coloured LEDs show battery status and mute condition. An input-level (gain) control is located beneath a cover which screws-off the body, along with miniature screwdriver for precise adjustment.

RF Power Output: 10mW nominal. Operating range: 30m (typical). Battery life: 7hrs (alkaline). Dimensions: 254.8 x 50mm. Weight: 280g (excluding batteries). Powering: 2x 1.5v AA battery (not included).

Included accessories: AT8456a Quiet-Flex stand clamp.
Optional accessories: AA Batteries, see Batteries.

ATW-T1001 2.4GHz Transmitter - Belt pack

Present in the ATW-1101 body-pack system, the ATW-T1001 UniPak belt pack transmitter uses the same 7-segment display and intuitive pairing sequence as other System 10 components. The lightweight (100g excluding batteries) plastic body incorporates a fixed antenna. Pairing and Level controls are located beneath the battery cover. Powering is via 2x 1.5v AA batteries (not included) which will provide approximately 7 hours of continuous use. Connection to lavalier and head worn microphones is via 4-pin locking HRS connector.

RF Power Output: 10mW nominal. Operating range: 30m (typical). Battery life: 7hrs (alkaline). Dimensions: 70.2 x 107 x 24.9mm (WHD). Weight: 100g (excluding batteries). Powering: 2x 1.5v AA battery (not included).
