LEMO TRIAX 8.5 Cable socket (PHG.4K.650.CTAC90Z)

Triax connectors suitable for use with 8.5mm, 11.2mm and 14.0mm triax cables. Water tight to IP66. Moulded cable support sleeves should be ordered separately (BBC convention is red with cable socket, yellow with cable plug). Elastomer corrugated sleeves (“gaiters”) are also available, red is convention for cable socket, yellow for cable plug. “Plugs” stocked by Canford have a female centre contact, “sockets” have a male centre contact (conforming to BBC usage).

Spare connectors shells are also available, as replacements for parts damaged in service. These can be fitted without removal of connector from the cable.

In addition, the moulded cable support sleeves are available as retrofits for older 4E style connectors. A new back nut needs to be fitted with each sleeve. Note that fitting these parts can only be done when the connector is re-terminated onto the cable.
