Sennheiser’s SpeechLine series of microphones and accessories includes a range of gooseneck, lectern, hanging, and boundary microphones designed for use in conference rooms where acoustic speech level require amplifying, recording, or video conferencing.
A range of goosenecks compatible with ME 34, ME 35, or ME 36 microphone capsules. Available in three length options of 40cm, 60cm, and 70cm, the goosenecks ensure best positioning of the microphone in relation to the speakers standing or seated position. ‘L’ models include a red coloured light ring that signifies when the microphone element is activated. These models have 5-pin XLR connectors at the base of the gooseneck; as opposed to 3-pin XLR connectors on the non-‘L’ models without light ring. The floating, but balanced XLR connector allows the user to power with 12-48V phantom power whilst retaining stability. Can be mounted to desktop via optional MZT 30, for 3-pin XLR versions; MZT 30L, for 5-pin XLR versions; or MZS 31 shockmount fitting.
A cardioid condenser capsule for use with the MZH 30xx series of goosenecks. This permanently polarised microphone has ‘corrosion resistant’ gold plating on contact points to provide longevity of use.
Impedance: 50ohm. Frequency response: 40Hz to 20kHz. Minimum terminating impedance: 1kohm. Phantom powering: P12-P48. Equivalent noise level: 26dB, A-weighted; 37dB, CCIR 468-3. Maximum sound pressure level: 130dB SPL. Dimensions (DxL): 12 x 18mm. Weight: 9g. Colour: Black.
This microphone capsule has the same properties as the ME 34 however it has a super-cardioid pickup pattern.
Specifications as ME 34 with the exception of frequency response of 50Hz to 20kHz.
Compatible with the MZH 30xx series of goosenecks, this capsule features an interference tube designed to allow the user to have more directivity are greater distances, whilst supressing background and ambient noise levels. Super-cardioid polar pattern also aids more directivity of pickup.
Impedance: 50ohm. Frequency response: 40Hz to 20kHz. Minimum terminating impedance: 1kohm. Phantom powering: P12-P48. Equivalent noise level: 23dB, A-weighted; 34dB, CCIR 468-3. Maximum sound pressure level: 130dB SPL. Dimensions (DxL): 8.2 x 96mm. Weight: 17g. Colour: Black.
Available in black or white this boundary microphone has been designed for use on a table top where a gooseneck style microphone may be too intrusive. The pre-polarised condenser capsule has a cardioid pickup pattern with a frequency response of 40Hz to 20kHz. Output is by way of 3-pin XLR connector.
Dynamic range: 111dB. Sensitivity: 10mV/Pa. Maximum sound pressure level: 140dB. Nominal impedance: 200ohms. Phantom powering: 24-48V. Equivalent noise level: 29dB, A-weighted; 39dB, CCIR. Current consumption: 1.5mA. Dimensions (WxDxH): 85 x 100 x 25mm. Weight: 291g
In addition to the attributes of the MEB 114, the MEB 114-S has a configurable push button that is trimmed with a bi-colour LED ring to indicate status. The microphone can be configured for use in ‘toggle on/off’, ‘push to talk’ (PTT), ‘push to mute’ (PTM), and ‘on’ modes. Available in black or white. An external camera or media control system can be connected via the TTL logic output on the underside of the MEB 114-S, and remotely triggered. Available in black or white.
Specifications as MEB 114 with the exception of current consumption of 5.3mA; output voltage of over 2.4V, high level; less than 0.4V, low level; and input voltage level of greater than 2.0V, high level; less than 0.8V, low level.
A combination of MAT 153-S B table top gooseneck stand, and MEG 14-40-L-II gooseneck with KE10 cardioid capsule. The microphone has an integrated light ring that illuminates green to indicate when the microphone is active. The gooseneck is terminated with 5-pin XLR which is compatible with the 5-pin XLR input of the MAT 153-S B.
Frequency response: 50Hz to 20kHz. Output impedance: Less than 100ohms. Sensitivity: 15mV/Pa. Maximum sound pressure level: 130dB at 1kHz, greater than 3%. Equivalent noise level: 26dB, A-weighted; 37dB, CCCIR. Phantom power: 12-48V. Current consumption: 3mA. MAT 153-S B specifications as below.
A wired, table top gooseneck stand with 3-pin XLR input that can be used with non-‘L’ version MZH series goosenecks. Output connector is also 3-pin XLR and can be connected via a standard microphone cable to either mixing console, or MAS 133 switch box.
Phantom powering: 24-48V. Current consumption: 1.9mA. Dimensions (WxDxH): 120 x 170 x 43mm. Weight: 1.21kg.
Has the attributes of the MAT 133 B with the addition of a two-coloured LED indicator, TTL logic output, and push button that can be configured as PTT, PTM, toggle, and permanent modes.
Specifications as MAT 133 B with the exception the current consumption of 3.7mA.
Has the same attributes as MAT 133-S however the microphone input is via 5-pin XLR connector. MAT 153-S B is therefore compatible with MZH series goosenecks with LED ring light and 5-pin XLR connector.
Specification as MAT 133-S B.
Available in black and white versions, the MAS 1 is a push button that can be used in conjunction with the MAS 133 inline switch box to employ PTT, PTM, toggle, and permanent modes. A bi-colour indicator aids quick status identification.
Connector: 5-pin XLR. Current consumption: 3mA, LED ring. Dimensions (HxDiameter): 81 (8mm above surface) x 28.5mm. Weight: 60g
MAS 133
Designed to be mounted under a table top surface, MAS 133 is an inline switch box with 3-pin XLR input, 3-pin XLR output, and 5-pin XLR switch connector. Its function is to be positioned between microphone and mixing console to allow modes including PTT, PTM, toggle, and permanent to give the user more functionality to their conference microphone. A TTL logic connection allows for external camera or media control system triggering.
