MuxLab digital audio extenders over Cat5e/6 are intended for AV system integration, along with home theatre, digital signage, and staging whereby distances of up to 150m are between source and destination.
500086 Digital Coax/Optical, 150m reach
Muxlab 500086 kit allows the extension of a single digital coax via S/PDIF, or digital optical via TOSlink between a source and destination using the same connections and formats. The extension length can be up to 150m in a point-to-point configuration when using Cat5e/6 cable.
This digital audio extender supports the transmission of two channels of uncompressed and lossless PCM audio, or compressed 5.1/7.1 surround sound including Dolby Plus, Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS, or Dolby True HD. The audio signal can be converted from optical to coax or vice-versa, with sample rates up to 96kHz.
Both transmitter and receiver have the same connections, which include optical via TOSlink, digital coax via S/PDIF, a single RJ45 connection and a power input. A switch allows the selection of preferred audio type. The units can also be power over cable.
