Active optical HDMI cables intended for applications where longer cable-run lengths than those obtainable with standard copper HDMI cables are required. They are useful where the cables needs to pass through environments with high electrical interference and offer a considerably more elegant and cost-effective solution for long cable runs than Cat cable with converter box systems.
With type A HDMI connectors at both ends these active optical cables support 48Gbps and 8k at 60Hz. 4.5mm outer diameter with a LFH (Low fire hazard) jacket. CPR rated. No external power required.
Note: The source connector and display connector must be connected with the relevant equipment respectively.
The term HDMI v2.1 is no longer used to describe an HDMI cable and instead is referred to as 'Ultra high speed'. For further information on HDMI Standards, go to www.hdmi.org
