MicroBuds are designed to combine an acoustically compensated ear-monitor with a generic ear-plug, for use with in-ear monitoring systems for musicians or for talkback applications in areas with high ambient noise such as sports and motorsport events. Two types of ear-tips are included - foam inserts that will self-form to the shape of the ear, and soft silicon eartips. Both provide similar attenuation characteristics and are chosen on the base of user comfort. To compensate for differences of ear-canal volume, low-frequency compensation filters have been designed to provide the desired bass response. Four different port sizes are supplied and should be selected empirically on the basis of personal preference. Mono (single ear) versions are also available.
MicroBuds are supplied in a padded pouch with one set of compensation filters. Spare eartips and compensation filter sets are also available.
