RYCOTE 055207 SGM FOAM WINDSHIELD With Windjammer, 19-22mm hole, 150mm long, for shotgun mic

The Rycote Baseball series of windscreens have been designed specifically for use with microphones on boom poles used indoors to reduce 'swooshing' noise incurred when repositioning the boom pole. The Baseball has been manufactured with durable open cell foam and covered in soft felt to offer protection to the microphone during 'equipment changes'.

There are three models are available, Baseball 19/20, Baseball 21/22, and Baseball 24/25 which all share the same outer diameter of 75mm. The Baseball 19/20, which offers a fixing diameter of 19-20mm, is suitable for microphones such as the DPA 408, Sennheiser MKH8040 or MKH8050 and Schoeps CMC. Baseball 21/22 is compatible with microphones including Audio Technica AT4049B, AT4051B, AT4021B, AT4022, AT4041 [92-743], Neumann KM 183 [92-876], KM 184 [92-870], KM 185 [92-877] and Sennheiser ME64 K6. The Baseball 24-25 offers a fixing diameter of 24-25mm and is compatible with the Sennheiser MKH 40 and MKH 50 [92-120] microphones.

Unlike the familiar Rycote Modular Windshields, these designs slip onto the body of the microphone. They may be used on handheld or with 'Softie', 'InVision Studio' or 'InVision Broadcast' lyre shock-mounts, for cylindrical and square microphones.

Constructed to offer the wind attenuation properties of a full sized windshield in a much smaller package, Baby Ball Gags (or BBGs) are suitable for low-profile boom applications as well as for use in hand-held operations and interviews. They are used widely for ORTF microphone pairs.

The windshield is constructed of the same material as the full size modular windshields, but rather than clipping to a microphone suspension, the Ball Gag is mounted directly on the microphone, a grommet gripping the microphone body. The microphone is pushed through the grommet, to completely enclose the microphone capsule, allowing the microphone to be hand-held, supported by clamp or a suitable mount such as the 'Softie', 'InVision Studio' or 'InVision Broadcast' shock-mount. The ball gag consists of two halves, which can be separated, to fit microphones with a ball-head or tapered body from inside the windshield.

Four sizes are available to fit nominally 20mm (011001), 21mm (011007), 22mm (011002), and 25mm (011003) microphone shanks respectively. Maximum head diameter: 80mm.

This series of Mini Windjammer are designed for specific microphones and add a further 12dB of wind noise attenuation. The fur covers are ‘easy-to-fit slip-on’ design and also offer resistance to moisture and UV light.
