CANFORD TONE GENERATOR - Analogue audio
The Canford portable tone generator is a battery powered unit providing 5 spot frequencies at 3 test levels, making it suitable for a wide variety of test and circuit identification purposes at both microphone and line level.
Frequencies are 40Hz, 400Hz, 1kHz, 10kHz and 15kHz, selected by rotary switch. Outputs are provided balanced on an XLR 3-pin male connector and unbalanced (floating) on RCA (phono). Output levels are switchable 0dB, -10dB and -60dB balanced, and -6dB, -16dB and -66dB unbalanced.
The unit is powered by a PP3 size 9V battery, or external DC supply, and has a flashing LED power 'on' indicator. It is housed in a robust extruded aluminium case with protective end bezels, dimensions: 107 x 93 x 50mm, not including control knobs. Weight: 300g.
