NEUTRIK POWERCON AC MAINS POWER CONNECTORS - 20 Amp

'Powercon' offers 20 amp rating in a secure-locking, compact housing, and meets all current safety standards. The series offers a 3-pole connection, with pre-mating earth connection and compact design (the series shares many body components with the 'Speakon' twist-lock loudspeaker connector, though naturally is totally incompatible!). The secure Neutrik strain-relief chuck cable strain relief accepts cables 5-15mm diameter using the twistlock principle with metal latch (as on current 'Speakon' connectors) to lock the connection.
Note: for the NAC3FXXA & NAC3FXXB variants the -S denotes cable diameters of 6-12mm and the -L denotes cable diameters of 10-16mm.

Cable connectors have screw terminals (max. wire size 4mm), panel connectors have 'Faston' 4.8 ×0.5mm 'spade' terminals. NAC3MPXX panel connectors are airtight. The -WOT variants are without the terminal barrier, for use with larger insulated spade terminal receptacles. Panel connectors offer two plain holes for M3 screws and bolts offering D-series ‘Universal’ mounting.

The series has two variants, the A (inlet) and B (outlet) types. Both are similar but have different keying to prevent mismating and are different colours. This means it is impossible to produce a short circuit with correctly wired connectors.

Type A is for power inlet, and is colour coded blue (equivalent in function to IEC 60320 C13 cable female and C14 panel male). Type B is for power outlet and is colour coded grey (equivalent in function to IEC 60320 type F panel female and type E cable male)

A number of accessories are available for use with the Powercon 20 Amp series:

Note 1: Cable connectors will only mate with their corresponding panel connector type. e.g. Mains Input cable connectors will only mate with Mains Input panel connector (both blue). Mains Output cable connectors will only mate with Mains Output cable connectors (both grey).

Note 2: Neutrik Powercon connectors are certified to the IEC 62368-1 standard which is defined as "appliance couplers for household and similar general purpose". If these connectors are required for use in a building installation, the installer must ensure that the necessary protective measures and applicable standards are complied with. This series of connectors can be used in an application such as a building installation, but Neutrik cannot offer certification or declaration of conformity for this use.

Note 3: Neutrik NAC3FXXA-W-L, NAC4FXXA-W-S, NAC3FXXB-W-L and NAC3FXXB-W-S are certified to be fully compatible with IEC 60320-1 and cUL 60320-1 standards meaning that they are accepted as components for cordsets according to IEC 60799, UL817 as well as equipment according to IEC 62368-1.
