Hexagonal box with positions for three Neutrik ‘D’ size or Canford Universal Series connectors (not suitable for Powercon connectors), allowing Y-splitters or T-pieces to be made. The box is in two halves, with the connectors in recesses in the moulding without screws, held firmly in place when the three lid screws are tightened. Plastic packing pieces are supplied with each box to allow for different connector flange thicknesses. The box is moulded from virtually unbreakable black ABS.
Two principal examples of uses include line level audio Y-splitting (one female Neutrik 3 pin XLR, two male Neutrik 3 pin XLR) and loudspeaker line T-piece (3 Neutrik NL4 loudspeaker connectors) – the latter specifically for use with 100 volt line multiple loudspeaker systems.
The box is available without connectors for individual user applications. Any connectors from the Neutrik D series, or Canford Universal Series can be used (but note that latches must be removed from Neutrik locking jack sockets and Powercon connectors are not suitable). Alternatively, ready assembled and wired boxes are available – all connector pins are wired to all others of the same number. Configurations are as above.
