A range of loudspeakers from Glensound that feature network connectivity. This enables the user to remotely control over long distances via Dante/AES67 connection.
Divine - 10watt, active
Glensound Divine is a 10watt monitor loudspeaker with Dante/AES67 connectivity. It is housed in a fully sealed die-cast enclosure, and designed for audio monitoring in broadcast, studio, OB vans, and other situations where quality monitoring and connectivity is required.
The inbuilt Class D amplifier, which can be powered by PoE (Power over Ethernet), has internal DSP that controls the audio signal by way of compression and limiting circuits. This can be set up and controlled using the LCD panel on the back of the die-cast enclosure, or via Glensound’s downloadable GlenController app designed for Windows 10. EQ presets and ‘Knee X Hz’ 12dB/Octave LF filter can also be applied via user menu navigation on the speaker.
Input is via 100Mbit/s Neutrik Ethercon. Up to four AES67 compliant Dante AoIP inputs at 48k can be monitored; or two channels at 96k, can be switched and identified via LEDs positioned on the front facing panel of the loudspeaker. The four input signals can be mixed together with adjustable independent channel volume control. An automatic duck can be applied so that one or more channels take priority over others – useful for dressing room show relay monitoring in theatres if stage managers or fire evacuation announcements are required to take volume priority.
A user-settable energy saving mode automatically shuts off the power amplifier when no audio signal is present. This can be switched between 15/30/60minute delay. Speaker mounting can be via standard 5/8 inch microphone thread on the base, or via 75 x 75mm VESA screen mount.
