Wharfedale Pro's EZ range of portable PA systems include two handheld wireless microphones and inbuilt playback of MP3 files via TF card reader, Bluetooth, and USB connections. The inbuilt battery afford up to 5 hours use, and requires 6 hours for a full charge from empty.
EZ series
EZ-12A and EZ-15A have been developed to answer a specific need for presenters and performers who require an active PA system that is portable for use in multiple locations. The portable PA systems are powered by an internal battery, however they can also be powered using a 100V-240V mains input. Two integrated wheels and a pull up handle ensure easy transportation.
The rear facing panel of the loudspeaker houses all input and output connectivity and control, along with an MP3 player module. The MP3 section plays audio files from either USB drive or TF card and has a LED display to display track and play status. This section also handles the Bluetooth connections for direct wireless connection to a smartphone, along with housing a 3.5mm auxiliary jack input. Line input is by way of dual RCA (phono) connections, with line out also on dual RCA (phono). A switch allows the user to select either MP3 or line input playback. An included infrared remote control gives access to the MP3 player functions and is received on the rear facing panel of the loudspeaker.
Wired microphone input is by way of 3-pin XLR or 6.35mm jack connection, with a dedicated 'channel 1' rotary control for volume. A second rotary controller globally adjusts the volume for both included wireless microphones. A 'talk' switch automatically ducks the music playback by 40dB when a microphone input signal is detected. A 5-back graphic equaliser affords fine adjustment of the output frequency shape, while three rotary controllers allow control of MP3/line input volume, master output volume, and echo volume - a digital effect that can be applied to the microphone channels.
Mains input is by way of standard IEC AC mains connector, and a rocking power switch allows battery/AC/off selection. A red LED signifies charging status, and a green/red LED signifies power and low power.
