This mono amplifier has two unbalanced stereo line inputs and one electronically-balanced microphone input. When using an external 24V mains power supply, the amplifier has a 40 watt output capability. It can also be powered via a 12-24V DC power supply however the maximum output is reduced when the input voltage supplied falls below 18V. All inputs and outputs use detachable, screw terminal connectors.
The stereo line inputs are summed into a single mono signal and mixed with the balanced microphone input. Input channel 'Line one' can be set to have priority over the 'line two' input using switches on the rear. Each input has an independent input sensitivity control on the rear; the line inputs having a -10dB to +10dB range and the microphone input having a +10dB to +50dB range. The front panel of the amplifier has independent level controls for the microphone and line input channels and low and high-frequency equalisers, each -10dB to +10dB, that affects the line input channels only.
Optional and compatible wall plates include RSL-4W, RSL-4B, RL-1W, RL-1B which can be connected via plug-in screw type terminal connectors.
Dimensions: 220 x 41 x 144.5 (WxHxD) mm. Weight: 750g.
The MA40F shares the technical attributes of the MA40 with additional connectivity including an RJ45 facility port for connecting to remote modules such as LM-2B or LM-2W remote control plates. All inputs and outputs use detachable, screw terminal connectors.
Alternative connections for connecting an external 70V or 100V-line source are particularly useful if using the MA40F amplifier to carry emergency announcements from the main audio system of a building.
Optional and compatible wall plates include RSL-4W, RSL-4B, RL-1W, RL-1B which can be connected via plug-in screw type terminal connectors, and the LM-2W and LM-2B which are connected via the RJ45 facility-port. The PM1 paging microphone with single press-to-talk button can be connected to the microphone input and switches on the rear can be configured to enable microphone-over-music priority or paging control. Phantom power of +12V can be configured by way of internal jumpers.
An external 24V mains power supply is supplied with the amplifier, however an external DC supply of between 12 and 24V can be substituted. The maximum output power of 40W is reduced with DC supply voltages that fall below an 18V threshold.
Dimensions: 220 x 41 x 144.5 (WxHxD) mm. Weight: 750g.
The MA40T mini amplifier has all the technical attributes of the MA40F except that instead of a 40W output into a 4 ohm load, the MA40T is a 40W amplifier with a transformer enabling it to drive 25/75/100V line speakers.
Dimensions: 303 x 41 x 144.5 (WxHxD) mm. Weight: 1.65kg.
Capable of producing 2x 20W into a low impedance, 4 ohm load, this stereo amplifier has two stereo line inputs and both Ethernet and RS232 connections. Like the MA40F and MA40T the MA40E has a facility port input option that allows connectivity to the Cloud LM-2 [93-149 / 93-188] wall input module or the Cloud BT-1F Bluetooth input module.
Dimensions: 220 x 41 x 144.5 (WxHxD) mm. Weight: 750g.
The Cloud MA80 is an 80w amplifier with the same functionality as the MA40. In addition to the MA40 functionality, the MA80 also has an auxiliary out via 3-pin Phoenix style connection. MA80 also has an integrated universal power supply with IEC connection.
Dimensions: 260 x 41 x 180 (WxHxD) mm. Weight: 1.35Kg.
This amplifier is an 80w version of the MA40F and MA40T combined. It capable of outputting an amplified signal to either 25/70/100V line system or low impedance, 4ohm system. It has both high impedance speaker inputs along with two low impedance line level inputs. A balanced microphone input with EQ is provided via 3-pin Phoenix style connector. 100-240V AC input is via IEC connector.
Dimensions: 310 x 41 x 180 (WxHxD) mm. Weight: 2.35Kg.
The 80w Cloud MA80E is similar to the MA40E however it has the added functionality of a balanced mic input with EQ. The mic input is via 3-pin Phoenix style connection. MA80E also has an auxiliary output and integrated universal power supply with IEC connection.
Dimensions: 260 x 41 x 180 (WxHxD) mm. Weight: 1.35Kg.
The front panel has two rotary level controls, for microphone and music inputs. Each has an LED to indicate peak level. A rotary switch selects one of four sources as the music input. A large rocker switch with associated LED indicator turns the power on and off.
The rear panel has a balanced input for a paging microphone using a 3-pole detachable 'Euroblock' or 'Phoenix' style terminal-block connector. A 2-pole version provides the access connection, and gain is set by a screwdriver-operated rotary control. Four pairs of RCA (phono) connectors provide the line inputs; each pair has a screwdriver-operated rotary control to set gain. The second pair of line inputs also has a 3.5mm stereo jack socket as an alternative connection. A 3-pole Euroblock connector provides the input for the optional remote control panels, RL-1 or RSL-4, with a switch to select between local and remote. A 2-pole Euroblock provides the music mute input which may be a normally open or closed contact.
A 4-pole Euroblock provides the connections for the music-on-hold output, which has two adjacent screwdriver-operated rotary controls to set the level of the microphone and music to this mix. A 3-pole Euroblock provides the balanced pre-amp output. Two further screwdriver-operated rotary controls adjust the EQ to the main output. Two 2-pole Euroblocks provide the low impedance loudspeaker output and the external standby connection. A metal cover protects the high-impedance loudspeaker outputs when present. Power is connected to an IEC inlet, with associated fuse.
Included accessories: Manual, AC power cable, mating terminal-block connectors.
Optional accessories: The CXL-60T line transformer may be fitted by the user to give 50V, 70V, 100V line outputs. The PM1 paging microphone is a desk-top gooseneck microphone with a single press-to-talk button. The RL-1 remote control plate fits a standard single-gang UK back-box and gives control of level using screened 2-core cable up to 100 metres long. The RSL-4 provides four-way source selection and level control. RE-L and RE-S mounting kits fit either one or two MA Series mixers in a 19 inch rack.
