Die von Canford entwickelten und gefertigten montierbaren Gehäuse bieten eine schnelle, einfache und effektive Lösung für die Rackmontage von bis zu vier SMPTE 311 Infrastrukturkabel ohne Bedarf an vorkonfektionierte- und terminierte Kabel.
Diese extrem kompakten Gehäuse eignen sich ideal für Anwendungen mit sehr begrenztem Platzangebot, da sie nicht direkt an der SMPTE-Anschlussplatte oder dem Anschlussfeld installiert werden müssen. Dank Ihrer geringen Abmessungen sind sie perfekt für die Installation in Anschlussschränken und 19" Racks sowie für andere Anwendungen geeignet, bei denen sich der Einsatz unserer herkömmlichen Spleißgehäuse aus Platzgründen verbietet.
Zur Installation werden die SMPTE-Kabel über einzelne Kabeleinlässe an der Gehäuserückseite eingeführt. Bei geöffneter Gehäuseklappe kann die integrierte Spleißkassette nach hinten geklappt werden, um den Zugriff auf das Gehäuseinnere freizugeben. Die elektrischen Elemente werden separiert und mit den mitgelieferten Crimp-Kontakten (männlich) angeschlossen. Die Glasfaserelemente werden mit Hilfe der integrierten Spleißkassette auf die im Lieferumfang enthaltenen LC-Pigtails aufgespleißt. Anschließend werden die Pigtails von hinten in die zugehörigen MATE-N-LOK-Verbinder bzw. Glasfaserkoppler auf der Vorderseite eingeführt. Zum Abschluss der Installation können ebenfalls von Canford erhältliche, terminierte SMPTE-Verbinder an den Ports angeschlossen werden.
Die Gehäuse zeichnen sich durch ihren echten Plug-and-Play-Ansatz aus, bieten einen exzellenten Schutz der internen Spleißverbindungen und Komponenten und sorgen zudem für optimierte Wartungsprozesse vor Ort, da sich defekte Anschlüsse einfach ausbauen und ersetzen lassen und somit Ausfallzeiten und teure Service-Einsätze minimiert werden.
Die Gehäuse sind in schwarz ausgeführt. Alle benötigten Glasfaser-Patchkabel, elektrischen Crimp-Kontakte und Spleißmuffen sind im Lieferumfang enthalten.

Designed and manufactured by Canford, these mountable enclosures are intended to facilitate fast, easy and effective termination of up to four SMPTE 311 infrastructure cables and eliminate the need for pre-terminated cable assemblies.
The super compact enclosure is ideally suited to applications where space is very limited as the units can easily be installed remotely from the SMPTE connection plate or panel if required. Their compact size means they are ideally suited for use in wall boxes, 19” racks and other application where our standard range of splice enclosures simply won’t fit.
During installation the SMPTE cables enter the chassis via individual rear cable glands. With the splice enclosure lid removed, the incorporated splice tray can be hinged back to allow internal access. The electrical elements are separated out and terminated using the male crimp contacts provided whilst the fibre elements are spliced on to the supplied LC tails using the splice tray. Once complete these are inserted into the rear of the respective MATE-N-LOK sockets and fibre couplers mounted on the front panel. Suitably terminated SMPTE connectors, which are available from Canford, can then simply be plugged into the available ports to complete the installation.
In addition to the excellent protection these units provide to the internal splicing and components, these enclosures offer a true 'plug and play' approach as well as a significant improvement to the process of on-site maintenance as it allows for defective connectors to be easily removed and replaced reducing down time and the need for expensive field service repairs.
The enclosures are finished in Black. All of the required fibre patch cords, electrical crimp contacts and splice protector sleeves are supplied with the unit.
