NEUTRIK ACRF-5 XLR Escutcheon for A- and BA-series, green

A range of ruggedized Cat5E connectors, using proven Neutrik style body-shells, cable clamping, and positive latching mechanisms. The panel connectors are integrated into the main Neutrik ranges, permitting easy mounting in Universal Series panels and other pre-punched metalwork.

The Ethercon was designed for data transfer interconnections where a more robust connector is required than the basic RJ45, and are especially suitable for location and outdoor applications, stage, studio and other commercial and industrial environments. It utilises the robust Neutrik latch rather than the delicate plastic latch on the RJ45 (which is disabled in the Ethercon application).

Panel connectors are available in Neutrik’s A, B and D series formats. The A series are plastic bodied, with optional coloured plastic escutcheons. B series are metal bodied with nickel plated finish. D series are also metal bodied with nickel plated finish, and suit Canford’s “Universal” series panels and stageboxes. Connections are for horizontal or vertical PCB mounting, or with an integrated Krone IDC block for direct wire termination. An additional screening pin is provided on PCB mounting types, which connects with metal side screens in the RJ45 mating recess. The IDC version has the same side screens, but in this case screen continuity is provided by a special metal plate that contacts securely with and over the cable screen. A “back-to-back” version is available in the D-series format, this has an RJ45 socket at the rear.

All panel-mounting connectors are supplied singly complete with mounting screws, or in bulk packs without mounting screws. Panel fastening of the A series connectors is by self-tapping screws, type PT, with thread 2.9 x 1.06 (DIN7990), stock codes 40-927 (pan head) and 40-932 (countersunk), and for B series is by M2.5 self-tapping screws with tri-rondular threads; available with countersunk (40-928, 40-929) or pan (40-931) heads. D-series format Ethercon connectors are secured via self-tapping screws much like the A series but require a longer 12mm length, stock codes 40-933 (pan head) and 40-934 (countersunk).

Ethercon comply with IEC1801 Category 5 (IDC and vertical PCB version panel connectors), shielded or unshielded, and are suitable for use with 10 Base-T and 100 Base-TX systems.
