CANFORD BNC CONNECTORS - Female, panel - Back to back - 3G HD-SDI - Insulated

Panel-mounting double-sided BNC connectors (also known as “back-to-back” or “bulkhead through-adapter”), designed and manufactured by Canford specifically for the professional market, with the requirements of digital video in mind. They feature gold-plated beryllium-copper centre contacts for optimum mechanical performance. Connector bodies are insulated from the panel, with a black mounting bush for the 75 ohm types and grey for the 50 ohm type.

The 3G HD-SDI 75 ohm type conforms to SMPTE424M and should always be used for 3G HD-SDI video. It is also compatible with all analogue and digital video formats up to 3GBit/s and AES-3i unbalanced digital audio.
HD-SDI 75 ohm type conforms to SMPTE292M and is suitable for all analogue video formats, serial digital video up to 1.5GBit/s and unbalanced AES-3i audio.
Both 75 ohm types have short insulators with an airspace dielectric around the centre pin to achieve a precision 75 ohm impedance match. The Beryllium copper pin ensures they are extremely mechanically robust if mated with professional quality BNC plugs.

The 50 ohm type is suitable for RF signals such as wireless microphone antenna, it is not suitable for SDI serial digital and is not recommended for analogue video. The insulation surrounding the centre pin optimises the impedance at 50ohms.

Panel hole diameter 12.8mm. Body has anti-rotation flat, 11.8mm across body at flat.
