A modular wireless audio system from Joby, designed for vlogging, interviewing, or news gathering journalism. The system operates on 2.4GHz frequency range and therefore is usable Worldwide without requiring a licence.
WAVO AIR
A 2.4GHz wireless microphone system comprising of two clip on transmitters with inbuilt omnidirectional microphones, and single dual-channel receiver. Both receiver and transmitters are of compact design; measuring 18.5 x 64 x 35mm (receiver), and 19.3 x 64 x 42.5mm (transmitter). Two lavalier microphones are also included within the system and can be connected to the transmitter packs for better microphone placement or more discreet placement. Joby suggest the range of the system can reach up to 50m therefore making the system applicable for indoor or outdoor interviewing or presentation.
Internal lithium-ion battery cells offer up to 6hours of use and can be recharged using the included USB-C to USB-A charging cables. Joby suggest charging from 0% to 100% can take as little as 2hrs, with a green LED signifying charging status before turning off when fully charged. Various LEDs on both transmitters and receiver show the status of pairing, power status, and power.
The rear facing side of both transmitters and receiver have Joby's Wavo AIR mounting system. A system that allows various options of mounting including clothing clip, magnetic pendant, cold shoe mount, and GorillaPod leg clip. The optional JB01796-BWW Wavo Air Mounting Pack includes additional mounting hardware types.
