CANFORD HMA FIBRE BREAKOUT ASSEMBLIES With Fibreco XLR bulkhead type connectors

These HMA cable breakout assemblies use Fibreco Junior expanded beam bulkhead connectors and are offered in a variety of versions. See product descriptions outlined below.

These high-performance assemblies utilise the HMA Junior expanded beam, black anodised Aluminium XLR bulkhead connector and are offered in either two or four channel Multimode or Singlemode versions. Available with either SC or LC fibre terminations in a variety of lengths. The HMA Black anodised Aluminium XLR bulkhead connectors are mounted using two M3 screws (not supplied).

Canford's fibre termination facility is certified by Fibreco for termination of the Fibreco HMA connectors.

As part of our final test process Canford carry out both insertion and return loss measurement, as well as interferometry measurement on all Fibre terminations. Although some termination facilities do not use interferometry and rely merely on insertion and return loss testing to determine results Canford will always carry out interferometry as standard. Test results including 3D imagery of terminations can be supplied upon request.

Interferometry measures three critical dimensions required for continued reliability, end shape (radius of curvature measured in mm), the polished apex offset (measured in um) and fibre height (measured in nm). These three parameters all fall within tight industry standards which guarantees reliability when mating random connectors.
