Battery powered microphone preamplifiers for high performance applications in broadcast, film production and other applications requiring full professional facilities.
MP-1 Microphone Preamplifier
The MP-1 is a portable, single channel, battery powered microphone preamplifier with 20Hz-50kHz bandwidth and better than 120 dB dynamic range. Features include 48 volt and 12 volt phantom power generation, high-pass filter, transformer-balanced input and output, and a robust metal housing with protective end rails.
An extended-range peak limiter makes the unit virtually ‘unclippable’. A high-current line output driver enables this unit to drive very long cable runs. Powered by 2 AA size batteries, with a power LED that also gives low power warning.

MM-1 Microphone Preamplifier with Headphone Monitoring
The MM-1 combines two essential production functions - microphone preamplification and headphone monitoring - into one compact portable product. The microphone preamplifier section has 20Hz-50kHz bandwidth and better than 120 dB dynamic range. Features include 48V and 12V phantom plus 12V AB(T) power generation, high-pass filter, and transformer-balanced input and output. An extended-range peak limiter makes the unit virtually ‘unclippable’. A high-current line output driver enables this unit to drive very long cable runs.
The headphone monitor accepts an external, balanced, line-level input, such as talkback or cue programme, which has a separate level adjustment and can be mixed with a monitor feed of the preamplifier output to give a composite headphone output.
Recessed switches (located under the belt clip) permit selection of external source monitoring without mic preamp signal to both ears, or split feed. It is housed in a robust metal case with protective end rails and detachable belt clip. Powered by 2 AA size batteries or external 5-17V DC supply, with a power LED that also gives low power warning.
