Foil screened, 120 ohm installation cable, specifically for DMX512 lighting-control applications, designed to meet RS485 data cable specification. Available in 1 pair and 2 pair versions.
Wire insulation is polypropylene, which shrinks back minimally during soldering (considerably less than PVC or polyethylene). The overall jacket is bonded to the screen tape so that one stripping action removes jacket and screen, leaving the signal wires and earth wire free for further processing.
Due to the 10.0mm diameter of the 2 pair cable, an alternative version of XLR with a larger chuck and special gland is available - see Neutrik XLR Cable Connectors - XX-14 series.
Wiring specifications for many public buildings call for LFH cables to be used in certain areas, notably in corridors etc. Under combustion circumstances, LFH cables have a significantly reduced smoke emission, and the gaseous products contain no toxic halogens.
