PALADIN CRIMP TOOLS - Co-axial connectors

A range of ratchet-action crimp tools with interchangeable die sets. All tools feature a fully-ratcheting cycle with safety release lever, six ratchet gear settings for adjustable crimping force, and thumbscrew retention of dies.
Spare thumbscrews are also available. These tools are also available as kits, complete with three die sets, in a convenient soft storage case – see Paladin coaxial connector crimp tool kits.

1302

The 1302 is an economical tool, with moulded, profiled plastic hand grips. Length 225mm, weight 495g (excluding dies). Die sets are ordered separately as required.

8000

This advanced tool features rubber-embedded handles for greater comfort, a reduced handle grip distance to make it easy to operate for both large and small hands, and an angled head to reduce operator wrist bends during operation. A higher crimp force is produced with less hand force, so the hand does not tire as easily, including the last ‘click’ required to complete the crimp process. Length 250mm, weight 585g (excluding dies). Die sets are ordered separately as required.

For an explanation of the terminology used in this entry and the advantages of crimping and solder termination, as well as advice on termination procedure and choice of connectors and tooling to suit specific cables, please see the linked resources, Crimp Die Selection Chart, Coaxial Connector Selection Guide and BNC Connectors - Terminology And Termination.

Canford Cable Groups are based on the overall and dielectric diameters as seen on our Coaxial Connector Selection Guide. It is important to note that this grouping is an indication and not a confirmation of compatibility. If you would like assistance with choosing your tooling, please contact: technical@canford.co.uk

Ordering Note:

The above table showing die sets for coaxial connectors are primarily to terminate Telegartner and Amphenol connectors. Whilst there may be some use for COAX connectors in the appropriate cable groups, customers are advised to consult the connector datasheets to note the crimp sizes required to ensure compatibility.
