TELEGARTNER BNC CONNECTORS - Male, cable - Crimp - 3G HD-SDI - Heavy duty

The Telegartner 'EasyGrip HD3' heavy-duty series of BNC crimp cable connectors has been developed specifically for HDTV applications. They have a robust die-cast housing and integrated strain-relief bush that makes them particularly suitable for outside broadcast applications. The longer body design, with reduced diameter, allows an easy grip at the rear of the connector, for use in high-density connection panels.

Excellent return-loss performance guarantees optimum signal transmission up to 4.5GHz. Return loss is typically 36dB at 1GHz, 31dB at 2GHz and 29dB at 3GHz.

Connectors are supplied as standard with a black strain-relief bush, but other colours are offered as optional accessories.

Single connectors are supplied individually bagged. Bulk packs of 100 connectors are supplied in plastic compartment trays.

Suitable crimp tools and dies are also offered.

Optional accessories: Canford crimp tool (blue) - 55-3221; Paladin crimp tool (55-751 or 55-752) and dies (55-763 for group Y or 55-764 for group Q or Y)

Note that tooling used for the TG BNC 3G HD series of BNCs is also suitable for the EasyGrip series.

Crimp dies must be the correct type for the connector and cable size. Due to the precise dimensions of the centre-pins required to achieve superior performance at HD bit-rates, crimp-dies used for standard BNCs are NOT suitable for TG BNC 3G HD connectors. Please refer to the linked Crimp Die Selection Chart resource.
For an explanation of the terminology used in this entry and the advantages of crimping and solder termination, as well as advice on termination procedure and choice of connectors and tooling to suit specific cables, please see the linked resources: Crimp Die Selection Chart, Coaxial Connector Selection Guide and BNC Connectors - Terminology And Termination.
